Ilija Skugor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 27th minute of the game. One of Daviana Sport:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Croatia:s goal. Toni Mauzer walked up to take care of the penalty kick. Sebastian Karlsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Ilija Skugor made a huge save. 39 minutes into the match, Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastian Karlsson. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodrigo Baleren got free with Ilija Skugor in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sebastian Karlsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ilija Skugor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastian Karlsson ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Karlsson got free with Ilija Skugor in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th minute, Dinko Stankovic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Ilija Skugor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Karlsson in the 54th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Croatia's zone, Guaberto Caitano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ilija Skugor came out of the goal and Guaberto Caitano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Neven Culina struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Aquilino Orlo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Croatia. Ilija Skugor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Baleren in the 65th minute of the match. In the 66thth minute of the game Sebastian Karlsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Croatia's Ilija Skugor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Damir Pongrac kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Baleren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Ilija Skugor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 76th minute Guaberto Caitano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilija Skugor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aquilino Orlo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dinko Stankovic in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guaberto Caitano in the 85th minute of play forced Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
