In the 4th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Tino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reynaldo Tino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Reynaldo Tino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 14thth minute of the game Brian Falck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Reynaldo Tino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 15th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Mathijn Doctor got a free kick in the 21st minute. After 24 played minutes Swindon Sweden FF got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Haglund. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Arnout Reekers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Reynaldo Tino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 31st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Wim Wilmes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Tino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 34th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reynaldo Tino was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Swindon Sweden FF's Reynaldo Tino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 36th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcus Östman in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnout Reekers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 41st minute of play forced Swindon Sweden FF's goalkeeper Reynaldo Tino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bas Tuitert charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bas Tuitert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kurt Haglund shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 54 minutes into the game, Swindon Sweden FF's Marcus Östman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnout Reekers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Swindon Sweden FF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Egbert Nijveldt fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Reynaldo Tino quite easily take care of the ball. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was a well-played corner which Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Reynaldo Tino in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reynaldo Tino made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Mathijn Doctor sent off a good shot on target. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Reynaldo Tino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If David Eikelkamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Östman, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Swindon Sweden FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Haglund didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Netherlands eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
