Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with the kick off. Gijsbert ter Kruimer scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Konstantin Ugryumov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eysk's Konstantin Ugryumov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 20th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Konstantin Ugryumov. Eysk's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustaaf Groeneveldt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 24th minute. The corner ended in Gijsbert ter Kruimer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Eysk's Konstantin Ugryumov did a great save. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Eduardo Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wim Wilmes might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Konstantin Ugryumov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wim Wilmes ran back to his position shaking his head. Eysk's Ali Nabi Dündaroğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Nabi Dündaroğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Nabi Dündaroğlu in the 37th minute of the match. Konstantin Ugryumov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Konstantin Ugryumov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 53rd minute of play. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Konstantin Ugryumov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wim Wilmes to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Konstantin Ugryumov. The goal made the score 2-3. Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eysk's Lev Smirnov was substituted for Aleksandr Kitaev. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Malyugin, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Eysk's Konstantin Ugryumov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Eysk from getting a goal against them. After 82 played minutes Eysk got a freekick which was hit by Eduard Sytin. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Malyugin, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. When Albert Malyugin fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eysk's protests and gave Albert Malyugin a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Eysk's Albert Malyugin got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 95th minute Nikolay Kremenyuk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Eysk booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wim Wilmes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Netherlands's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
