Zacarias Ascencio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Moreira in the 17th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benny Niva in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson Amorim saved Portugal from getting behind. Zacarias Ascencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 24th minute of play. In the 31st minute Felipe Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Ascencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Cosme Esiquio threw the ball into play from the sideline. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Viriato Moura in the 35th managed to get into a good position. Celta de Virgos's Zacarias Ascencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 40th minute of play.
