Antonello Da Messina kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Santa Lucia de Merlo's Polo Quinteros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luis Galarza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Kalatakaya F.C. getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Tonete Abaurre hit a great ball. After having played for 39 minutes, Polo Quinteros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santa Lucia de Merlo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Polo Quinteros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Santa Lucia de Merlo's Florentino Herauso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Santa Lucia de Merlo from getting a goal against them.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when M. Agus Young stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th match minute, Kalatakaya F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eriberto Marques to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the match, Santa Lucia de Merlo's goal looked a bit too open when Amável Falcão came free, but Florentino Herauso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tonete Abaurre took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Florentino Herauso. Florentino Herauso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Santa Lucia de Merlo's Florentino Herauso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amável Falcão in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Luis Cristaldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kalatakaya F.C.'s Federico Valcareggi was substituted for Luis Cristaldo. A collision led to Kalatakaya F.C. getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Luis Cristaldo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by M. Agus Young in the 74th minute of play forced Kalatakaya F.C.'s goalkeeper Luis Galarza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Edmundo Nóbrega managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santa Lucia de Merlo's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Nóbrega was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luis Galarza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Florentino Herauso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Recep Guftar, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 81st minute Recep Guftar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Herauso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kalatakaya F.C.'s goalkeeper Luis Galarza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Federico Valcareggi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florentino Herauso having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jair Reinoso in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florentino Herauso saved Santa Lucia de Merlo from getting behind. The supporters of Santa Lucia de Merlo booed when Kalatakaya F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Helmut Gutiérrez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling M. Agus Young in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luis Galarza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kalatakaya F.C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
