In the 12th match minute, Cementerio Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Benitez to maneuver through the defense. Austen Farrow didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 14th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Magic is Back's Ruben Sánchez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wlodzimierz Penczkowski in the 26th minute of play. Cementerio Club's Austen Farrow proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Cementerio Club from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Martin Palermo took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Austen Farrow to make any attempt to save it. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cementerio Club's goalkeeper Austen Farrow, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Martin Palermo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Austen Farrow came out and tried to block the shot, but Martin Palermo slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 36th minute. A collision led to Cementerio Club getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Americo Izel hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Magic is Back's Sebastián Battaglia tried to score from far away in the 44th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Martin Palermo charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martin Palermo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Martin Palermo hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wlodzimierz Penczkowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Austen Farrow showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Palermo, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 52nd minute Magic is Back were awarded a corner. Sebastián Battaglia went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Magic is Back's Sebastián Battaglia to fire away a dangerous shot which Austen Farrow despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Magic is Back's Ruben Sánchez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wlodzimierz Penczkowski in the 57th minute of play. With a little luck, Magic is Back's Ruben Sánchez got control of the ball when Wlodzimierz Penczkowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Magic is Back's Osvaldo Potente was substituted for Martin Palermo. Magic is Back's attentive Rodolfo Arruabarrena managed to snatch the ball when Fulgencio Valente made a throw-in in the 67th minute of the game. The supporters of Cementerio Club booed when Magic is Back was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Arruabarrena didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 70 minutes of play, Magic is Back's Osvaldo Potente made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Austen Farrow was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Magic is Back's goalkeeper Ruben Sánchez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by Magic is Back's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ermegildo Demario was slow to take the kick. During this time Cementerio Club's players had a chance to rest. If Fulgencio Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cementerio Club's Santo Gonzo in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Magic is Back's goalie prevented a goal. Osvaldo Potente's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Austen Farrow read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Santo Gonzo took a quick shot and it went in 4-2 without a chance for Ruben Sánchez to make any attempt to save it. In the 90th minute Osvaldo Potente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Austen Farrow saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudio Marangoni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Austen Farrow tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Magic is Back fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cementerio Club had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
