The supporters of Hungary booed when Northern Lights was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elpidio Bidun didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute of the match, Fazıl Hüsnü Sümer got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fodor Daniel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 10th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Arif Tosunoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 14 minutes, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antal Valentin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. You Fei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Fodor Daniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bektaş Ali Mücip, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Mehmet Arif Tosunoğlu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Balazs Lajos went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 26 minutes into the match, Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bektaş Ali Mücip. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antal Valentin in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mehmet Arif Tosunoğlu saved Northern Lights from getting behind. Bektaş Ali Mücip's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Fodor Daniel skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 38th minute of the match, Bektaş Ali Mücip tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fodor Daniel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Fodor Daniel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from You Fei went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bektaş Ali Mücip in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. Mehmet Arif Tosunoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 48th minute, Hegedus Henrik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when Bektaş Ali Mücip made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Hungary booed when Northern Lights was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elpidio Bidun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Northern Lights's Mehmet Arif Tosunoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 58th minute of play. When Bektaş Ali Mücip came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Northern Lights fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bektaş Ali Mücip couldn't finish the play. 68 minutes into the match, You Fei had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fodor Daniel. Hungary's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that You Fei was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. A well-hit corner resulted in Vörös Henrik heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When Vörös Henrik fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hungary's protests and gave Vörös Henrik a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vörös Henrik to maneuver through the defense. Mehmet Arif Tosunoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Takacs Tibor in the 82nd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Bektaş Ali Mücip came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mehmet Arif Tosunoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Mehmet Arif Tosunoğlu in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antal Valentin succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-2 in the 95th playminute.
