Peter Svanberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Ciro Gava sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Black is Back defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Peter Svanberg. The Black is Back fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Peter Svanberg should have stopped the shot. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peter Svanberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 42nd minute of the match. Georg Moberg struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Arnout Reekers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Black is Back. The Black is Back players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Netherlands were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Georg Moberg made a kick off. Peter Svanberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 65th match minute, Black is Back was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carl Eckegren to maneuver through the defense. Black is Back's Peter Svanberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Black is Back from getting a goal against them. Gustaaf Groeneveldts short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Peter Svanberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 69 minutes into the game, Gustaaf Groeneveldt lined in a short shot 0-5 behind a frustrated Peter Svanberg. Peter Svanberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wim Wilmes went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. In the 76th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Svanberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Ciro Gava managed to get in a good position for a shot. Black is Back's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciro Gava was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnout Reekers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 87th minute, Black is Back's Gilbert Sjögren seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gilbert Sjögren the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Black is Back protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gilbert Sjögren had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 88 played minutes Black is Back got a freekick which was hit by Gilbert Sjögren. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Peter Svanberg. Black is Back's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Peter Svanberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Peter Svanberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 96th minute of play.
