The supporters of Π.Α.Ο.ΚΩΝΣΤΑΝΤΙΝΟΥΠΟΛΕΩΣ booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malte Schiele didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Π.Α.Ο.ΚΩΝΣΤΑΝΤΙΝΟΥΠΟΛΕΩΣ defense, Frank Sachs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stratos Vogiatzis. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nasos Tsionas in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ulrich Stein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nasos Tsionas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lembit Lutsar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Π.Α.Ο.ΚΩΝΣΤΑΝΤΙΝΟΥΠΟΛΕΩΣ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Germany had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
