After a defensive mix-up in Knaggel FC's zone, Lúcio da Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Selim Tuğbay came out of the goal and Lúcio da Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 8 played minutes FC La Masia got a freekick which was hit by Alexsandro Correia. In the 9th minute, Lawrence Bonnison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 11 minutes, Barnes Garing mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Knaggel FC and the FC La Masia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th minute, Barnes Garing hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Selim Tuğbay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lúcio da Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 14th match minute, FC La Masia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Quadros to maneuver through the defense. After 18 minutes Knaggel FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Murillo Galvão who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Murillo Galvão almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Knaggel FC's Selim Tuğbay did a great save. After 23 minutes of play, FC La Masia's Cristiano Xavier made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Selim Tuğbay was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Xavier in the 28th minute of play forced Knaggel FC's goalkeeper Selim Tuğbay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristiano Xavier in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Selim Tuğbay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 30th minute FC La Masia were awarded a corner. Murillo Galvão went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 33rd minute Cristiano Xavier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Selim Tuğbay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Barnes Garing kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cesinha do Vale. That made the score 1-1 in the 58 minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Knaggel FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Xavier came free, but Selim Tuğbay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC La Masia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Murillo Galvão in the 64th minute. Murillo Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC La Masia's goalkeeper Cesinha do Vale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Knaggel FC's Clark Missen was substituted for Bengt-Åke Kvist. Barnes Garing kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Knaggel FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristiano Xavier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Many of Knaggel FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Knaggel FC may have spent more time on the ball, but FC La Masia were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
