With his leg Alfonso Lauro managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's Mauro Chorache fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Basilio Calvino came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basilio Calvino couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Guansa booed when C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnoldo Garin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th match minute, Guansa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Higinio Cresencio to maneuver through the defense. Alfonso Lauro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Chorache in the 25th minute of the match. Lucio Urdin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hector Terciero, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Guansa's zone, Mauro Chorache stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfonso Lauro came out of the goal and Mauro Chorache tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Higinio Cresencio fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guansa's protests and gave Higinio Cresencio a yellow card for diving instead. After 39 played minutes Guansa got a freekick which was hit by Higinio Cresencio. 41 minutes into the match, Guansa's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Chorache came free, but Alfonso Lauro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Higinio Cresencio was the one to do the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Mauro Chorache who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guansa's Alfonso Lauro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Serafino Ostots hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After 57 played minutes C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ got a freekick which was hit by Tiburcio Odon. Guansa's Alfonso Lauro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basilio Calvino in the 64th minute of play. Alfonso Lauro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Chorache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anier Pedroso kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After having played for 69 minutes, Patrick Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrick Linares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Guansa's Flavio Ipar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lucio Urdin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The long shot by Flavio Ipar in the 77th minute really tested Lucio Urdin's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Higinio Cresencio kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Alfonso Lauro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basilio Calvino in the 81st minute of the match. Anacleto Eusko kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Basilio Calvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, Joel Erramu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute, Patrick Linares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A.Ituzaingo Ψ's goalkeeper Lucio Urdin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
