Mikolaj Jerzyk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prospero Inguma, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Newcastle United's Mikolaj Jerzyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Efraim in the 5th minute of play. In the 7th minute Adolfo Gombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikolaj Jerzyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Newcastle United's goal looked a bit too open when Prospero Inguma came free, but Mikolaj Jerzyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 16 played minutes Lobos de Carelia got a freekick which was hit by Xu Ran Zhen. Thomas Vollmar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mikolaj Jerzyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Gombal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Feliberto Ipar managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Newcastle United's Thomas Vollmar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Zeca Fernandez sped through Newcastle United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mikolaj Jerzyk. In the 37th minute Zeca Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikolaj Jerzyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adolfo Gombal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Lobos de Carelia getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Mürsel Oruz hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Thomas Vollmar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Feliberto Ipar was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thomas Vollmar made a kick off. The supporters of Lobos de Carelia booed when Newcastle United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olgierd Wojtowicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 50th minute, Adolfo Gombal sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Newcastle United's Mikolaj Jerzyk didn't even have to move. After 52 minutes, Adam Pacholewski made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Lobos de Carelia's Feliberto Ipar tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gabriel Efraim received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mikolaj Jerzyk came out and tried to block the shot, but Gabriel Efraim slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 58th minute. Prospero Ingumas short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Mikolaj Jerzyk to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mikolaj Jerzyk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Prospero Inguma went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. 66 minutes into the match, Newcastle United's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Gombal came free, but Mikolaj Jerzyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zeca Fernandez's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mikolaj Jerzyk firmly grabbed it by the left post. Mikolaj Jerzyk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabriel Efraim's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Feliberto Ipar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Vollmar in the 73rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolfo Gombal in the 75th minute of play forced Newcastle United's goalkeeper Mikolaj Jerzyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Pacholewski in the 76th minute of play forced Lobos de Carelia's goalkeeper Feliberto Ipar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zeca Fernandez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Mikolaj Jerzyk made a huge save. Pankracy Malicki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Ipar having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Lobos de Carelia's Amancio Cheche dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Lobos de Carelia's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
