In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Newcastle United's goalkeeper Mikolaj Jerzyk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 9th minute Hector Terciero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikolaj Jerzyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olgierd Wojtowicz hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Thomas Vollmar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfonso Lauro was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Alfonso Lauro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kajetan Kochniarczyk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfonso Lauro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pankracy Malicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thomas Vollmar in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfonso Lauro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Newcastle United's Adam Pacholewski got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th minute of the match Marian Erland shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfonso Lauro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Marian Erland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 41 minutes, Thomas Vollmar made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Guansa's Alfonso Lauro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Guansa players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Newcastle United were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Higinio Cresencio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Newcastle United were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Guansa's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zé Paulo Zonta took the corner. The corner ended in Pankracy Malicki almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Guansa's Alfonso Lauro did a great save. Pankracy Malicki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute Thomas Vollmar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Lauro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pankracy Malicki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfonso Lauro having to make a save. Thomas Vollmar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Alfonso Lauro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 68 played minutes Guansa got a freekick which was hit by Serafino Ostots. Guansa's Alfonso Lauro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Vollmar in the 69th minute of play. Newcastle United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zé Paulo Zonta in the 70th minute. A nice corner shot did that Zé Paulo Zonta got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alfonso Lauro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Adam Pacholewski came free with the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Alfonso Lauro could save by the left post. Edgar Lampa hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Mikolaj Jerzyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Higinio Cresencio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pankracy Malicki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Lauro having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marian Erland got free with Alfonso Lauro in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guansa's Alfonso Lauro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Guansa from getting a goal against them. Mikolaj Jerzyk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Higinio Cresencio, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Newcastle United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
