Newcastle United's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 30th minute of the match ♦Diabetes♦ got a corner. Newcastle United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Björk ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to ♦Diabetes♦'s Cristiano Ronaldinho getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. ♦Diabetes♦'s Fermin Abeita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Pacholewski in the 39th minute of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Daniel Björk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ♦Diabetes♦'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Björk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mikolaj Jerzyk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Ronaldinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The Newcastle United fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when Newcastle United's Pankracy Malicki looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

After a rather tough play, Newcastle United's Julian Obuchowicz got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 94 minutes into the match, Newcastle United's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Ronaldinho came free, but Mikolaj Jerzyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Newcastle United had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
