Pontus Nordström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaltino Viana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pontus Nordström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Gonsalvo in the 6th minute of play. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Santa Margarita's goalie and right to Fabian Cordairo. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Santa Margarita's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Pontus Nordström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Gonsalvo, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Witomir Pisarczyk in the 16th minute of play forced Malteria Hudson FC's goalkeeper Benedicto Elixio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santa Margarita's Eduardo De Francesco got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benedicto Elixio had great luck who in the 25thth minute grab hold of the ball when Gerardo Lordi from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Andréas Hasselqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Benedicto Elixio made a huge save. A collision led to Malteria Hudson FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Fabio Cucao hit a great ball. Eduardo De Francesco, 33 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 43rd minute Gerardo Lordi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Elixio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Malteria Hudson FC's Benedicto Elixio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Witomir Pisarczyk in the 44th minute of play. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by Malteria Hudson FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eduardo De Francesco was slow to take the kick. During this time Santa Margarita's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Santa Margarita's corner Eduardo De Francesco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Benedicto Elixio quite easily take care of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Gerardo Lordi made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Humberto Gonsalvo got free with Pontus Nordström in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pontus Nordström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Bazkoare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benedicto Elixio came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Santa Margarita's Gerardo Lordi. But to his dismay, Gerardo Lordi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Benedicto Elixio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Lordi, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Robustiano Oinaz hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Benedicto Elixio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Witomir Pisarczyk went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Lordi in the 73rd minute of play forced Malteria Hudson FC's goalkeeper Benedicto Elixio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74 minutes Malteria Hudson FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eduardo De Francesco who took care of the corner kick. The Santa Margarita fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Mauro Icardi scored 4-0 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benedicto Elixio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Santa Margarita fans cheered their team off the field, for while Malteria Hudson FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
