In the 9th minute, Ulises Cesario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dante Fernendo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Placido Jenaro in the 18th minute. Eneas Diez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Bonadona, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Eneas Diez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Bilintx in the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Gheară in the 25th minute of play forced Sporting de Gijón's goalkeeper Dante Fernendo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mario Zanabria who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Eneas Diez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Sporting de Gijón getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Saturnino Curcio hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the match, Mario Zanabria had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eneas Diez. De Boedo Vengo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mario Zanabria was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1.
