A very good chance. 30 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adam Pacholewski. Mikolaj Jerzyk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. David Eikelkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Arnout Reekers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mikolaj Jerzyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Pankracy Malicki made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Newcastle United booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustaaf Groeneveldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Mikolaj Jerzyk in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 61 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 62 played minutes Newcastle United got a freekick which was hit by Olgierd Wojtowicz. 73 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Pankracy Malicki came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Mathijn Doctor hit a great ball. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Pacholewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the game, Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mikolaj Jerzyk. Gustaaf Groeneveldt showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Bas Tuitert hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 87thth minute of the game Adam Pacholewski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Newcastle United fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Newcastle United's Adam Pacholewski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikolaj Jerzyk having to interfere. The Newcastle United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
