In the 5th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petr Kladiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Gijsbert ter Kruimer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Petr Kladiva quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Sebastian Čech might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnout Reekers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastian Čech ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Linhartice getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Magnus Blomkvist hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the match, Linhartice's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Petr Kladiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 11 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Petr Kladiva was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Sebastian Čech had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 17th minute, Linhartice's Sebastian Čech ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Linhartice's Petr Kladiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Meesters in the 31st minute of play. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Astor Faro, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 36th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petr Kladiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Linhartice's Orhan Veli Ulukan was substituted for Matheus Cunha. In the 37th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Linhartice's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. David Eikelkamp made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that Linhartice's Petr Kladiva managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Linhartice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petr Hrdina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Linhartice made a substitution. Jan Mojžíš replaced Willian Laguna. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orhan Veli Ulukan in the 46th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Linhartice's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Petr Kladiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The corner led Netherlands's Lars Meesters to fire away a dangerous shot which Petr Kladiva despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Mojžíš, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Eikelkamp hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
