Marcos Basso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 67th minute of play. Daniel Pimentel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Basso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Wilson Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gencer Hisarcık's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias in the 89th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Marcos Basso was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for The Shadows through an amazing save. The Shadows's Marcos Basso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save The Shadows from getting a goal against them. In the 92nd minute of the match, Bartolomeu Dias tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcos Basso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 94 minutes into the match, Portugal's Felipinho Amorim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcos Basso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 95th minute of the match Portugal got a corner. The Shadows's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Pimentel ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Portugal's corner Daniel Pimentel fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marcos Basso quite easily take care of the ball.
