Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Paris Saint-Germain F.C's Sid Ahmed Kader started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nadir Horr kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Salah Hamid Brahima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 3rd minute of the match. Chris Nygaard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 7 minutes, Salim Bougherra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paris Saint-Germain F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salim Bougherra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chris Nygaard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cheb Kacha got a throw-in 16 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Salim Bougherra. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertram Svenningsen in the 20th minute of play forced Paris Saint-Germain F.C's goalkeeper Salah Hamid Brahima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Keld Paulsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atlas Albändiyev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Salim Bougherra got free with Keld Paulsen in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Nygaard in the 27th minute of play forced Paris Saint-Germain F.C's goalkeeper Salah Hamid Brahima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Bertram Svenningsen fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Denmark's protests and gave Bertram Svenningsen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute Sid Ahmed Kader shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Salim Bougherra got free with Keld Paulsen in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 45 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Sid Ahmed Kader came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chris Nygaard to strike the kick off in the second half. Paris Saint-Germain F.C made a substitution. Nontas Prodromou replaced Marcelo Napier. Denmark's Olav Graversen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cheb Kacha in the 60 minute of the game. 61 minutes into the match, Paris Saint-Germain F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but Salah Hamid Brahima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salim Bougherra in the 64th minute of play. Denmark's attentive Simon Bendtsen managed to snatch the ball when Cheb Kacha made a throw-in in the 66th minute of the game. Chris Nygaard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Salah Hamid Brahima made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Denmark's Kenn Skou got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Denmark's zone, Salim Bougherra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal and Salim Bougherra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Salah Hamid Brahima was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Chris Nygaard capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Chris Nygaard really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sid Ahmed Kader in the 82nd minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Salim Bougherra in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Keld Paulsen saved Denmark from getting behind. Lars Steen kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Bjarne Kirkegaard's late challenge caught a Paris Saint-Germain F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bjarne Kirkegaard helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Paris Saint-Germain F.C booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bjarne Kirkegaard didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Denmark's Salah Hamid Brahima threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Chris Nygaard, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sid Ahmed Kader in the 96th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Paris Saint-Germain F.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Denmark were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
