The crowd rose to their feet as Pepito Santalla kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Henrich Slany. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. Dinei Corrêa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Henrich Slany made a huge save. With a little luck, Slovakia's Henrich Slany got control of the ball when Dinei Corrêa tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ladislao Bertran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henrich Slany was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. In the 20th minute Boca Juniors were awarded a corner. Orlando Lluques went to the cornerflag to take it. Samuel Emesto kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Slovakia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Jonathan-Matias Romero scored to the left of an out of position Henrich Slany, making the score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislao Bertran in the 34th minute of play forced Slovakia's goalkeeper Henrich Slany to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dinei Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrich Slany having to interfere. Jonathan-Matias Romero might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henrich Slany. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonathan-Matias Romero ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Slovakia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vít Biskup didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ladislao Bertran succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 44th playminute. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 55th minute, Jonathan-Matias Romero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boca Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. After a defensive mix-up in Slovakia's zone, Ladislao Bertran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henrich Slany came out of the goal and Ladislao Bertran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Ladislao Bertran put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Henrich Slany. Kornel Jahoda's late challenge caught a Boca Juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kornel Jahoda helped the player get up and apologised. After 64 played minutes Slovakia got a freekick which was hit by Kornel Jahoda. Boca Juniors's Marcin Mietus was substituted for Pepito Santalla. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Slovakia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kornel Jahoda didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th match minute, Slovakia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Holub to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute, Dinei Corrêa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boca Juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. In the 73rd match minute, Slovakia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Metod Mlynar to maneuver through the defense. Henrich Slany didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dinei Corrêa went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. In the 83rd minute Marcin Mietus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrich Slany saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henrich Slany showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcin Mietus, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Boca Juniors's Orlando Lluques got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Slovakia getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Vavrinec Koleno hit a great ball. Orlando Lluques's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henrich Slany read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Henrich Slany stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ladislao Bertran's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. Henrich Slany showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcin Mietus, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Boca Juniors had played much better football throughout.
