Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Portugal's Viriato Moura started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Wilson Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronaldo Cristi in the 5th minute. 8 minutes into the game, Ronaldo Cristi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Wilson Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 12th minute of play forced Doffes Damer's goalkeeper Greid Tinsmith to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Greid Tinsmith didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Caetano Moreira went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 21 minutes into the match, Doffes Damer's Ronaldo Cristi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Felipe Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portugal's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipe Barreto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Greid Tinsmith breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes into the match, Caetano Moreira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Greid Tinsmith. Doffes Damer's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Caetano Moreira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 28th match minute, Doffes Damer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldo Cristi to maneuver through the defense. Ronaldo Cristi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. Greid Tinsmith showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Pimentel in the 34th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Ronaldo Cristi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Ronaldo Cristi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Faustino Almeida made in the 38th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Graciano Coutinho. Ronaldo Cristi had several of the Portugal's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 40 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Wilson Amorim as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 42 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Faustino Almeida. Ronaldo Cristi did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-2 to the left of a surprised Wilson Amorim 44 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronaldo Cristi to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Daniel Pimentel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inge Braa scored 6-2 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 83 minutes into the match, Doffes Damer's Inge Braa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Doffes Damer were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after Portugal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Göran Vedholm took the corner. Bartolomeu Dias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Greid Tinsmith made a huge save. Doffes Damer's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Felipinho Amorim scored to the left of an out of position Greid Tinsmith, making the score, 6-3. Bartolomeu Dias received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Greid Tinsmith came out and tried to block the shot, but Bartolomeu Dias slotted it home off the left post making it 6-4 in the 94th minute. Portugal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
