But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tymoteusz Wolski couldn't finish the play. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Zenon Ludwiczak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zenon Ludwiczak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Galena Kielce's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Mateusz Kornecki sent off a good shot on target. Galena Kielce's Zenon Ludwiczak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 38th minute of play forced Galena Kielce's goalkeeper Zenon Ludwiczak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zenon Ludwiczak quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Galena Kielce was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikolaj Laskowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 64th minute of play forced Galena Kielce's goalkeeper Zenon Ludwiczak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Lars Meesters slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zenon Ludwiczak. That made the score 0-4 after 92 minutes of play. After having played for 95 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
