Tommy Kahn came out and tried to block the shot, but Marcin Hodyl slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 2nd minute. 6 minutes into the match, Marcin Hodyl had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcin Hodyl was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After a rather tough play, Germany's Adrian Dreifuss got a free kick in the 9th minute. Marcin Hodyl's shot from long distance in the 10th minute was not bad at all, but Germany's Tommy Kahn knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Mustafa Haydar Saygur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Mustafa Haydar Saygur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edward Gecionis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sachs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AnkaraGücü SK were furious when Abdurrezzak Heybetli was red carded, 18 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of AnkaraGücü SK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Germany:s goal. Edward Gecionis had in the 19thth minute some difficulties stopping Frank Sachs's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 19th minute, Frank Sachs ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edward Gecionis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in AnkaraGücü SK's zone, Albin Holweck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edward Gecionis came out of the goal and Albin Holweck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the AnkaraGücü SK defense, Frank Sachs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edward Gecionis. The AnkaraGücü SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edward Gecionis should have stopped the shot. Mustafa Haydar Saygur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kutlay Adem. Mustafa Haydar Saygur scored 3-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 40th minute, Kutlay Adem left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AnkaraGücü SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Sven Krakouer's late challenge caught a AnkaraGücü SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven Krakouer helped the player get up and apologised. Sven Krakouer kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. AnkaraGücü SK's Mustafa Haydar Saygur got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wilfried Walder might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Kahn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilfried Walder ran back to his position shaking his head. The AnkaraGücü SK fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when AnkaraGücü SK's Mustafa Haydar Saygur looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gürsel Kiram, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AnkaraGücü SK's Edward Gecionis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 62nd minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Mustafa Haydar Saygur came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Mustafa Haydar Saygur made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-2. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by AnkaraGücü SK's Wilfried Walder. But to his dismay, Wilfried Walder quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Mustafa Haydar Saygur managed to get in a good position for a shot. AnkaraGücü SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Mustafa Haydar Saygur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th minute Ulrich Stein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edward Gecionis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Gürsel Kiram made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-2. When Frank Sachs came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Germany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Sachs couldn't finish the play. Frank Sachs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edward Gecionis having to make a save. 86 minutes into the match, AnkaraGücü SK's Mustafa Haydar Saygur sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 90 minutes Germany's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marcin Hodyl who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Marcin Hodyl got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tommy Kahn quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 93rd minute, Aquilino Ruy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mustafa Haydar Saygur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
