The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th match minute, Czech Republic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Dostal to maneuver through the defense. Cláudio Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Jilek in the 8th minute of the match. Vavrinec Holub was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alfredo Pernambucano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. Alessandro Carioca hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Cláudio Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Rezek in the 13th minute of the match. Cláudio Taffarel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erik Jilek's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. After 16 minutes of play, Bucéfalo FC's Baltazar Carvalho made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vavrinec Holub was left in no man's land by his defense there! 18 minutes into the game, Fernandão Damião was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bucéfalo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Czech Republic the free kick. After a rather tough play, Bucéfalo FC's Fernandão Damião got a free kick in the 18th minute. Vavrinec Holub showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltazar Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Valdemar Turecek hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltazar Carvalho in the 23rd minute of play. Celsinho de Lara hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Denis Dostal hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After 31 minutes, Denis Dostal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Czech Republic and the Bucéfalo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 32nd match minute, Czech Republic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Dostal to maneuver through the defense. Vavrinec Holub made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baltazar Carvalho in the 33rd minute. Baltazar Carvalho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Vavrinec Holub skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Baltazar Carvalho was the one to do the kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in Czech Republic fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! Bucéfalo FC made a substitution. Arthur Branco replaced Alfredo Pernambucano. Bucéfalo FC's Tico Mole was substituted for Alessandro Siqueira. Daniel Vitek's late challenge caught a Bucéfalo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Vitek helped the player get up and apologised. After 70 played minutes Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Vitek. Joaquim Pernambucano missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 72 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Vavrinec Holub right hand side. Baltazar Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Júlio Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Vavrinec Holub tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltazar Carvalho in the 80th minute of play. Vavrinec Holub made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Castro in the 87th minute of play. In the 88th minute Arthur Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vavrinec Holub saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vavrinec Holub was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Bucéfalo FC fully deserved thier win.
