Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Hungary's Antal Valentin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Antal Valentin sped through Vama Veche ™'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Helmuth Duckadam. In the 11th minute, Anton Dănciulescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Major Barna in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Helmuth Duckadam saved Vama Veche ™ from getting behind. 14 minutes into the match, Vama Veche ™'s goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Helmuth Duckadam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Antal Valentin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Helmuth Duckadam was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Fodor Daniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vlad Milcoveanu's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Helmuth Duckadam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 24th minute of play. Helmuth Duckadam didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antal Valentin went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 30th minute of play forced Vama Veche ™'s goalkeeper Helmuth Duckadam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Helmuth Duckadam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 31st minute of the match. In the 31st match minute, Vama Veche ™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dumitru Ciordaș to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Vama Veche ™'s zone, Major Barna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Helmuth Duckadam came out of the goal and Major Barna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the match, Major Barna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Helmuth Duckadam. Vama Veche ™'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Major Barna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. In the 37th minute Takacs Tibor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Helmuth Duckadam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 38 minutes, Claudiu Stoian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vama Veche ™ and the Hungary players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th match minute, Vama Veche ™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudiu Stoian to maneuver through the defense. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 41 minutes, Antal Valentin made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Vama Veche ™'s Helmuth Duckadam tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Șerban Ciociu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Antal Valentin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Helmuth Duckadam. That made the score 0-6 in the 50 minute of play. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Șerban Ciociu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Hungary's Katona Janos in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vama Veche ™'s goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Hegedus Henrik kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Helmuth Duckadam. That made the score 0-7 in the 57 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Takacs Tibor in the 60th minute of play forced Vama Veche ™'s goalkeeper Helmuth Duckadam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Antal Valentin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Helmuth Duckadam. That made the score 0-8 in the 61 minute of play. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 0-9 when Major Barna sped through Vama Veche ™'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Helmuth Duckadam. Hungary's Major Barna got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vama Veche ™'s Helmuth Duckadam proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Vama Veche ™ from getting a goal against them. 73 minutes into the match, Vama Veche ™'s goalkeeper Helmuth Duckadam had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antal Valentin. 78 minutes into the match, Major Barna notched a goal, 0-10, to the right of Vama Veche ™'s Helmuth Duckadam. Helmuth Duckadam was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hungary's Antal Valentin got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Major Barna kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Helmuth Duckadam. That made the score 0-11 in the 83 minute of play. Vama Veche ™'s Helmuth Duckadam proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Vama Veche ™ from getting a goal against them. Major Barna struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Helmuth Duckadam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. In the 91st minute, Katona Janos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilian Capșuneanu in the 92nd minute of play. Helmuth Duckadam was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Antal Valentin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-12 in the 93 minute of play.
