Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Antal Valentin took the kick off in the first half of the match. Fodor Daniel made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Daniel Hagedorn sent off a good shot on target. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Alf Tempel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 6 minutes into the match, Antal Valentin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alf Tempel. Rapid Wien's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antal Valentin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Rapid Wien's zone, Major Barna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alf Tempel came out of the goal and Major Barna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Alf Tempel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alf Tempel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute, Tommy Bongartz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alf Tempel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 19th minute of the match. After 20 minutes Rapid Wien's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Hungary's Antal Valentin to fire away a dangerous shot which Alf Tempel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Balazs Lajos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Balazs Lajos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alf Tempel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hungary's Balazs Lajos got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Alf Tempel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th match minute, Rapid Wien was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Hagedorn to maneuver through the defense. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Kraft, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Hagedorn to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Hagedorn in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Hagedorn in the 52nd minute of the match. 52 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Hagedorn came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alf Tempel having to interfere. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antal Valentin in the 57th minute. Hungary's Antal Valentin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alf Tempel in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Antal Valentin kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Dommröse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Major Barnas short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Alf Tempel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Fodor Daniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Hagedorn's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Hagedorn in the 79th minute of play. If Hegedus Henrik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albert Kraft's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albert Kraft helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th minute, Albert Kraft hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albert Kraft kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Hungary's Takacs Tibor suffered a concussion in the 96th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 96 minutes, Uwe Kitzbichler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rapid Wien and the Hungary players grew even worse after the yellow card. Uwe Kitzbichler kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Antal Valentin struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Alf Tempel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary.
