Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nils De Geutter in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnout Reekers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Netherlands booed when North Hill United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stephan Jannis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The North Hill United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Netherlands were winning 0-1.

David Eikelkamp might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joos Teurfs. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Eikelkamp ran back to his position shaking his head. Gustaaf Groeneveldt was extremely unlucky when he, in the 90th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yao Zhou Jian in the 92nd minute of the match. A collision led to North Hill United getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Yao Zhou Jian hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Netherlands eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
