The Memphis Grizzlies fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donald Fenwick should have stopped the shot. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jim Mannell in the 13 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 17th minute of play forced Memphis Grizzlies's goalkeeper Donald Fenwick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Mudarra hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Caetano Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the game, Memphis Grizzlies's Vinicio Carballeira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Ronny Theobold might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilson Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 90th minute of the game Maksymilian Trzemzalski made a throw-in which Ronny Theobold played forward. Joachim Garate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donald Fenwick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolomeu Dias in the 96th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
