The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The corner ended in Mehmet Ersman almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Spain's Gabriel Ascaso did a great save. Enis Behiç Nizami fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Ascaso having to interfere. Enis Behiç Nizami's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Gabriel Ascaso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Patric Berglund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute Omar Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pete Luna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Patric Berglund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gabriel Ascaso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enis Behiç Nizami, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lars Vincent hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enis Behiç Nizami got free with Gabriel Ascaso in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Toledo in the 26th minute of play forced Joga Hem FC's goalkeeper Pete Luna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pete Luna came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Spain's Omar Toledo. But to his dismay, Omar Toledo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Spain's Gabriel Ascaso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Spain from getting a goal against them. Joga Hem FC were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Spain's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mehmet Ersman took the corner. Joga Hem FC's Mehmet Ersman was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gabriel Ascaso in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patric Berglund in the 43rd minute of play forced Spain's goalkeeper Gabriel Ascaso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 44 played minutes Joga Hem FC got a freekick which was hit by Evert Lenberg. Gabriel Ascaso made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when David Israel Blue sent off a good shot on target. Patric Berglund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gabriel Ascaso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Spain were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Omar Toledo to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Patric Berglund came free, but Gabriel Ascaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabriel Ascaso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evert Lenberg in the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th minute, David Aranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joga Hem FC made a substitution. Ludomil Kluska replaced David Israel Blue. Joga Hem FC's Charles da Silva was substituted for Enis Behiç Nizami. 61 minutes into the match, Joga Hem FC's goalkeeper Pete Luna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adria Bielsa. The audience thought a goal was coming when Omar Toledo got free with Pete Luna in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Pete Luna managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Spain's Carles Cherro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Urban Wennerquist in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Gabriel Ascaso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urban Wennerquist, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Pete Luna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carles Cherro in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Sergio Ruiz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Spain fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Spain eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
