The CASBAS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chico Răica should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Gurdurão booed when CASBAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Gaspard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gurdurão's Marcel Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iker Olentzaro in the 12th minute of play. Marcel Amaral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iker Olentzaro's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. The CASBAS fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when CASBAS's Iker Olentzaro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marcel Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iker Olentzaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Faustão Proença's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chico Răica read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Gurdurão's Marcel Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iker Olentzaro in the 23rd minute of play. Chico Răica made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Faustão Proença sent off a good shot on target. If Faustão Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iker Olentzaro in the 31st minute of play forced Gurdurão's goalkeeper Marcel Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcel Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Iratxo, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. If Faustão Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faustão Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chico Răica having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Mei in the 47th minute of play forced Gurdurão's goalkeeper Marcel Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CASBAS's Claudio Mei managed to work through Gurdurão's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Claudio Mei dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Faustão Proença made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Manuel Gaspard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. CASBAS's Chico Răica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustão Proença in the 57th minute of play. Costin Bădulescu hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute, Iker Olentzaro sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Gurdurão's Marcel Amaral didn't even have to move. Chico Răica took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustão Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Faustão Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chico Răica having to interfere. Gurdurão's Evaristo Hurtado was substituted for Fausto Orlondon. Gurdurão's Tião Moura was substituted for Abel Rocio. CASBAS's Chico Răica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustão Proença in the 78th minute of play. Faustão Proença's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chico Răica read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Gurdurão made a substitution. Silvinho Mesquita replaced Faustão Proença. After a rather tough play, Gurdurão's Patrick Sandström got a free kick in the 87th minute. Silvinho Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chico Răica having to interfere. Silvinho Mesquita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Chico Răica having to make a save. There was no doubt that Gurdurão were the better team. Gurdurão's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
