Faustão Proença recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elton Titos hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute, Metod Mlynar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Henrich Slany was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Faustão Proença showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 21 minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Faustão Proença recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Henrich Slany. Faustão Proença showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. When Gurdurão's Faustão Proença in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Slovakia's goalie prevented a goal. Faustão Proença received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Henrich Slany tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Faustão Proença blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henrich Slany having to make a save. Slovakia's Henrich Slany proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Slovakia from getting a goal against them. Faustão Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrich Slany having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Faustão Proença in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henrich Slany prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Henrich Slany made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustão Proença in the 38th minute of play. If Faustão Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
