Porziano Marchitelli hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. When Siricio Liotta came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Italy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siricio Liotta couldn't finish the play. 35 minutes in the game Gianpaolo Mascari did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Siricio Liotta. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Nóbrega in the 49th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 53rd minute Aleks Vaskov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Filipe Nóbrega got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Flavio Vittori quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Hristofor Borchev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sigfrido Auletta in the 56th minute of the match. Hristofor Borchev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 64th minute. 65 minutes into the game, Aleks Vaskov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Flavio Vittori was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Бенковски Тетевен's Aleks Vaskov got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Aleks Vaskov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Бенковски Тетевен fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Italy were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
