A sloppy throw-in by Kees Mooiweer in the 3rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by 青岛西海岸火龙's Mawrth Lynch. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind 青岛西海岸火龙's goalkeeper 鲁风彬, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The throw-in from Lu Guang Zheng in the 9th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Netherlands's Lars Meesters. After 10 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. 鲁风彬 was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mawrth Lynch in the 15th minute. 鲁风彬 came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Wim Wilmes. But to his dismay, Wim Wilmes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 22 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of 鲁风彬. 青岛西海岸火龙's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gijsbert ter Kruimer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Félix. Lars Meesters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. 鲁风彬 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 鲁风彬 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustaaf Groeneveldt scored 0-4 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of 鲁风彬, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lars Meesters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 鲁风彬 came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer. But to his dismay, Gijsbert ter Kruimer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. João Félix's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Félix helped the player get up and apologised. João Félix hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Meesters in the 54th minute of play forced 青岛西海岸火龙's goalkeeper 鲁风彬 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Gustaaf Groeneveldt could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which 鲁风彬 however easily saved by the left post. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 鲁风彬 having to interfere. The supporters of 青岛西海岸火龙 booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kees Mooiweer didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ture Juniel in the 60th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. 鲁风彬 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. 鲁风彬 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wim Wilmes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without 鲁风彬 having to make a save. 67 minutes into the match, 青岛西海岸火龙's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but 鲁风彬 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Bas Tuitert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 鲁风彬 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 74th minute. Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but 鲁风彬 in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 77 minutes into the match, 青岛西海岸火龙's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but 鲁风彬 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 青岛西海岸火龙's 鲁风彬 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 79th minute of play. 鲁风彬 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 83rd minute. If Lars Meesters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with 鲁风彬 in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. David Eikelkamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg 鲁风彬 managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Netherlands's Wim Wilmes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mawrth Lynch kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. 鲁风彬 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Netherlands supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Netherlands would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
