The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Octav Cristea's late challenge caught a Czech Republic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octav Cristea helped the player get up and apologised. After 2 played minutes Rapid Bucharest got a freekick which was hit by Octav Cristea. Vavrinec Holub showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iurie Miclescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Czech Republic's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Iurie Miclescu scored to the left of an out of position Vavrinec Holub, making the score, 1-0. Boguslaw Furgat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Iurie Miclescu didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-0 via right post in the game's 15th minute. Rapid Bucharest's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Iurie Miclescu took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Vavrinec Holub to make any attempt to save it. Iurie Miclescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Vavrinec Holub made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iurie Miclescu got free with Vavrinec Holub in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25th minute, Rapid Bucharest's Iurie Miclescu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. Vavrinec Holub was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Iurie Miclescu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Iurie Miclescu really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. A hard shot 33 in the game by Iurie Miclescu from a close distance when the talented Vavrinec Holub managed to make a qualified save. Czech Republic's players were relieved. In the 35th minute, Czech Republic's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kasper Ververs fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 45th minute, 孔响誉 had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Rapid Bucharest made a substitution. Valeriu Apăvăloaie replaced 孔响誉. After 46 played minutes Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by David Rusil. Vavrinec Holub stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Boguslaw Furgat's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Iurie Miclescu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Iurie Miclescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vavrinec Holub saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Rapid Bucharest booed when Czech Republic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Vitek didn't get a good kick on the ball. But to his dismay, Iurie Miclescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-0. Vavrinec Holub made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iurie Miclescu in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iurie Miclescu in the 72nd minute of play forced Czech Republic's goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vavrinec Holub showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iurie Miclescu in the 73rd minute of the match. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 11-0 when Iurie Miclescu sped through Czech Republic's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vavrinec Holub. With a little luck, Rapid Bucharest's Drew Knight got control of the ball when Erik Jilek tried to sneak it across the goal line. Iurie Miclescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Vavrinec Holub tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the game, Iurie Miclescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 12-0. Vavrinec Holub was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Boguslaw Furgat scored 13-0 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vavrinec Holub, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Rapid Bucharest getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Valeriu Apăvăloaie hit a great ball. Ionel Siniştean scored 14-0 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vavrinec Holub, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 96 minutes into the match, Boguslaw Furgat notched a goal, 15-0, to the right of Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub. Vavrinec Holub was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Rapid Bucharest fully deserved thier win.
