In the 8th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. C. S. D. Pueyrredón's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. David Beckham Jr hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. When C. S. D. Pueyrredón's Teobaldo Rosario in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Godofredo Bras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Godofredo Bras didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Meesters in the 22nd minute of play forced C. S. D. Pueyrredón's goalkeeper Godofredo Bras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Godofredo Bras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 23rd minute of play. After 24 minutes C. S. D. Pueyrredón's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Netherlands's Lars Meesters getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Efrain Clodio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godofredo Bras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Godofredo Bras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute of the match C. S. D. Pueyrredón got a corner. Pueyrredón got a freekick which was hit by David Beckham Jr. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 48th minute of play forced C. S. D. Pueyrredón's goalkeeper Godofredo Bras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teobaldo Rosario to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Romulo Matia managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. S. D. Pueyrredón's supporters rose to their feet, but Romulo Matia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnout Reekers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free with the goalkeeper in the 54th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Godofredo Bras could save by the left post. Conrado Stanislao hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Netherlands's Wim Wilmes got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. C. S. D. Pueyrredón's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Lars Meesters scored to the left of an out of position Godofredo Bras, making the score, 0-1. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efrain Clodio in the 65th minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 67th minute shot 0-2 at rihgt post. C. S. D. Pueyrredón made a substitution. Roch Siekierka replaced Romulo Matia. 72 minutes into the game, Gijsbert ter Kruimer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Godofredo Bras was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. C. S. D. Pueyrredón's Halil İbrahim Yeltekin was substituted for Teobaldo Rosario. Wim Wilmes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Godofredo Bras read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Godofredo Bras successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 82 minutes into the match, C. S. D. Pueyrredón's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Godofredo Bras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute of the match, David Eikelkamp got a very nice opportunity to score, but Godofredo Bras was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Godofredo Bras skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 92 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Godofredo Bras made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Halil İbrahim Yeltekin hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The Netherlands supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Netherlands would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
