The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Godofredo Bras didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edward Vanderstraeten went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 7 minutes into the match, C. S. D. Pueyrredón's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Godofredo Bras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Godofredo Bras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 10th minute of the match. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind C. S. D. Pueyrredón's goalkeeper Godofredo Bras, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Belgium's Casper Claes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Belgium from getting a goal against them. Godofredo Bras didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edward Vanderstraeten went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to C. S. D. Pueyrredón getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Roch Siekierka hit a great ball. Godofredo Bras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 20th minute of play. Teobaldo Rosario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Casper Claes made a huge save. Godofredo Bras came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten. But to his dismay, Edward Vanderstraeten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. With a little luck, Belgium's Casper Claes got control of the ball when Teobaldo Rosario tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edgardo Montxo charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgardo Montxo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.

58 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Godofredo Bras narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teobaldo Rosario in the 59th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edward Vanderstraeten in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Godofredo Bras saved C. S. D. Pueyrredón from getting behind. The supporters of Belgium booed when C. S. D. Pueyrredón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvestre Eutor didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Edward Vanderstraeten in the 65th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Godofredo Bras's left hand side. C. S. D. Pueyrredón made a substitution. Claudio Inguma replaced Roch Siekierka. Godofredo Bras made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 67th minute. Godofredo Bras stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edward Vanderstraeten's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teobaldo Rosario in the 71st minute of the match. D. Pueyrredón's goalkeeper Godofredo Bras had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Vanderstraeten. Claudio Inguma kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. C. S. D. Pueyrredón's Godofredo Bras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 92nd minute of play. Edward Vanderstraeten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded Belgium left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than C. S. D. Pueyrredón.
