Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Figueiredo in the 24th minute of play. A collision led to Belgium getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Yves Dervaux hit a great ball. Luiz Paulo Figueiredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edward Vanderstraeten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnny Ibarra having to interfere.
