Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Plebeyos's Eduardo Barrionuevo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Kåre Uter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Kåre Uter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute Felipe Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arsenio Cordeal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Plebeyos defense, Felipe Barreto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arsenio Cordeal. The Plebeyos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arsenio Cordeal should have stopped the shot. Kåre Uter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viriato Moura made a kick off. Arsenio Cordeal made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Felipe Barreto sent off a good shot on target. Portugal's attentive Daniel Pimentel managed to snatch the ball when Clemente Fe made a throw-in in the 58th minute of the game. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Barrionuevo in the 60th minute of play. Plebeyos's Eduardo Barrionuevo got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Clemente Fe charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clemente Fe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Plebeyos made a substitution. Hugo Villaverde replaced Carlos Monzón. Bartolomeu Dias's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Arsenio Cordeal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Melquiades Lauren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Portugal supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Portugal would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
