With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Nygaard in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pete Schmeichel saved The Power Rangers from getting behind. A collision led to The Power Rangers getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Dorin Şteţ hit a great ball. When The Power Rangers's Adan Rico in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adan Rico in the 12th minute of play. When Bertram Svenningsen came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Denmark fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bertram Svenningsen couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in The Power Rangers's zone, Chris Nygaard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pete Schmeichel came out of the goal and Chris Nygaard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute, Bjarne Kirkegaard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 21 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Simon Bendtsen. After a rather tough play, The Power Rangers's Benedicto Natanael got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 32nd minute of the match The Power Rangers got a corner. Denmark's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Silverio Gaskon ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 33rd minute, Chris Nygaard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ambrosio Guerau who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Keld Paulsen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Daniel Walme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keld Paulsen having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikkel Wulff in the 43rd minute of play forced The Power Rangers's goalkeeper Pete Schmeichel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute of the match Denmark got a corner. The Power Rangers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Chris Nygaard ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Denmark's Lars Steen to fire away a dangerous shot which Pete Schmeichel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 47th minute of the game Isaac Sarracino made a throw-in which Ambrosio Guerau played forward. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The audience was convinced that Ambrosio Guerau's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Keld Paulsen was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. 57 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Ambrosio Guerau came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benedicto Natanael got a throw-in 80 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Miguel Satordi. The Power Rangers's Cleto Loco was substituted for Benedicto Natanael. Keld Paulsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ambrosio Guerau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chris Nygaard in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pete Schmeichel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambrosio Guerau, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute.
