Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oktay Derelioğlu in the 8th minute of the match. Belgium's Casper Claes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Belgium from getting a goal against them. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by Belgium's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zeki Önatlı was slow to take the kick. During this time Dikili Sahil Spor's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Dikili Sahil Spor's corner Zeki Önatlı fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Casper Claes quite easily take care of the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oktay Derelioğlu was the one to do the kick off. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeki Önatlı, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 54 minutes into the game, Edward Vanderstraeten cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Sabri Dino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Belgium defense, Severino Abeyta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Casper Claes. The Belgium fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Casper Claes should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sabri Dino. That made the score 1-7 after 85 minutes of play. In the 88th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabri Dino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Oktay Derelioğlu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Casper Claes was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sabri Dino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Belgium walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
