After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Benito Lluterio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kalatakaya F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Benito Lluterio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes into the match, Felipe Barreto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luis Galarza. Kalatakaya F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felipe Barreto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amável Falcão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes had been played when some careless play by Portugal's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Federico Valcareggi was slow to take the kick. During this time Kalatakaya F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. Portugal's attentive Felipinho Amorim managed to snatch the ball when Amável Falcão made a throw-in in the 89th minute of the game. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Kalatakaya F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Portugal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
