Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Viriato Moura kicked off to start the match. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Martins in the 4th minute of the match. In the 6th minute Nestor Paraibano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nestor Paraibano scored 1-0 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 12th minute Felipe Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dida Taffarel came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Portugal's Felipe Barreto. But to his dismay, Felipe Barreto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from German Cano in the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute Alfredo Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Martins in the 29th minute of the match. Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 32nd minute of play. Dida Taffarel came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Portugal's Viriato Moura. But to his dismay, Viriato Moura quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Dida Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute of the match Portugal got a corner. Marquês de Herval's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Felipe Barreto ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpected shot in the 41st minute by Alfredo Martins got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Bruno Bastos got a free kick in the 44th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Alfredo Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marquês de Herval's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Martins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 48th minute of the match, Alfredo Martins tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wilson Amorim saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfredo Martins was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Nestor Paraibano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. Gaston Gonzalez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Pimentel got free with Dida Taffarel in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 61st match minute, Marquês de Herval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moussa Kabre to maneuver through the defense. Dida Taffarel made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Daniel Pimentel sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 64th minute of play forced Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Dida Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marquês de Herval were furious when Moussa Kabre was red carded, 64 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 63 minutes into the game, one of Marquês de Herval:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from German Cano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marquês de Herval's Acácio Cunha was substituted for Valentin Vizitiu. In the 75th minute Marquês de Herval were awarded a corner. Pedro Luís da Rocha went to the cornerflag to take it. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Paraibano in the 77th minute of the match. Nestor Paraibano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nestor Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Portugal's attentive Caetano Moreira managed to snatch the ball when Gaston Gonzalez made a throw-in in the 90th minute of the game. 93 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolomeu Dias came free, but Dida Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bartolomeu Dias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dida Taffarel having to make a save. Nestor Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. German Cano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Portugal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
