In the 20th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Zăvoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gigel Zăvoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, MasterBets's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Gigel Zăvoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of MasterBets booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kees Mooiweer didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Oliver Bierhoff came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the MasterBets fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oliver Bierhoff couldn't finish the play. Oliver Bierhoff took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Gigel Zăvoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kang Ning Yu lost his temper 59 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. Gigel Zăvoiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 72nd minute. 73 minutes into the match, MasterBets's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Gigel Zăvoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lars Meesters hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gigel Zăvoiu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Gigel Zăvoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Gigel Zăvoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 98th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than MasterBets.
