The audience thought a goal was coming when Ezequiel Leizarraga got free with Gabriel Ascaso in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 46 minutes into the match, Spain's goalkeeper Gabriel Ascaso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustavo-Hernán Cabezudo. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Omar Toledo made a kick off. After 53 played minutes Infami di Canaus got a freekick which was hit by Alp Egesel.
