Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Frank Sachs kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shi Li got free with Tommy Kahn in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shi Li in the 6th minute of the match. If Shi Li had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shi Li in the 10th minute of play. Frank Sachs's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Octavian Soare read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Shi Li could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Shi Li in the 20th minute. After 22 played minutes Galati Harbour Cats got a freekick which was hit by Mo Yuan Fan. 25 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Shi Li. Shi Li could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. Frank Sachs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute of the match, Shi Li got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tommy Kahn was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience was convinced that Shi Li's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Shi Li was the one to do the kick off. Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Soare having to interfere. After having played for 57 minutes, Shi Li managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galati Harbour Cats's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shi Li was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chris Mergenthaler during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 64th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Mergenthaler to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Shi Li's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ştefan Sticlaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. With 68 minutes on the clock, Sven Krakouer commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 69 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Sven Krakouer. When Shi Li came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Galati Harbour Cats fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shi Li couldn't finish the play. After 87 played minutes Galati Harbour Cats got a freekick which was hit by Ovidiu Pandrea. 91 minutes into the match, Galati Harbour Cats's Ştefan Sticlaru sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 93rd minute Galati Harbour Cats were awarded a corner. Dan Petrescu went to the cornerflag to take it. After 93 played minutes Galati Harbour Cats got a freekick which was hit by Shi Li. Germany's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
