The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, David Eikelkamp ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ostadar Ruega was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 5 minutes of play, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ostadar Ruega was left in no man's land by his defense there! C.S.D Punta Ballena's Ostadar Ruega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 10th minute of play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ostadar Ruega. Ostadar Ruega dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Ostadar Ruega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 14th minute of the match. Ostadar Ruega didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in C.S.D Punta Ballena's zone, Wim Wilmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ostadar Ruega came out of the goal and Wim Wilmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ostadar Ruega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 24th minute of play. Ostadar Ruega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Wim Wilmes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ostadar Ruega was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. 30 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Lars Meesters sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ostadar Ruega narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A throw-in in the 31st minute of the game was made by Kees Mooiweer with Lars Meesters as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When Gijsbert ter Kruimer came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gijsbert ter Kruimer couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ostadar Ruega made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Ostadar Ruega came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer. But to his dismay, Gijsbert ter Kruimer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Wim Wilmes scored 0-8 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ostadar Ruega, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ostadar Ruega breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 46th minute of play forced C.S.D Punta Ballena's goalkeeper Ostadar Ruega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-8 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gijsbert ter Kruimer to strike the kick off in the second half. The Netherlands fans' excitement grew in the 51st match minute when Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-9 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ostadar Ruega stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wim Wilmes's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. A hard shot 56 in the game by Gijsbert ter Kruimer from a close distance when the talented Ostadar Ruega managed to make a qualified save. C.S.D Punta Ballena's players were relieved. Carolo Viya charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carolo Viya the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, C.S.D Punta Ballena's Carolo Viya got a free kick in the 56th minute. When Federico Valverde fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.S.D Punta Ballena's protests and gave Federico Valverde a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to C.S.D Punta Ballena getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Federico Valverde hit a great ball. Ostadar Ruega didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-10 was the resulting score. Kees Mooiweer made in the 64th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Wim Wilmes. Bruno Collazos kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Wim Wilmes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ostadar Ruega having to make a save. Wim Wilmes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 70th minute. Netherlands's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 73rd minute, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-11. Ostadar Ruega came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Wim Wilmes. But to his dismay, Wim Wilmes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-12. Wim Wilmes scored 0-13 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ostadar Ruega, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the C.S.D Punta Ballena defense, Wim Wilmes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ostadar Ruega. The C.S.D Punta Ballena fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ostadar Ruega should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Wim Wilmes took a quick shot and it went in 0-16 without a chance for Ostadar Ruega to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Wim Wilmes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ostadar Ruega. That made the score 0-17 after 97 minutes of play. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than C.S.D Punta Ballena.
