The supporters of Goo Goo Dolls booed when Sztyepana-kert was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Béla Pál-Szabó didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Róbert Hegedűs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Sztyepana-kert got a freekick which was hit by Ferenc Simon. 54 minutes into the match, Sztyepana-kert's goal looked a bit too open when Matteo Gillis came free, but Lóránd Halász reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olimpiu Dragnea in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lóránd Halász prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sztyepana-kert's Lóránd Halász played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matteo Gillis in the 57th minute of play. A collision led to Goo Goo Dolls getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Brian Hughes hit a great ball. After 68 played minutes Sztyepana-kert got a freekick which was hit by Ferenc Simon. After 73 minutes of play, Goo Goo Dolls's Dom Rusby made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lóránd Halász was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 82nd minute, Matteo Gillis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Goo Goo Dolls fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. After some careless play in the Sztyepana-kert defense, Matteo Gillis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lóránd Halász. The Sztyepana-kert fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lóránd Halász should have stopped the shot. Lóránd Halász made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matteo Gillis in the 89th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matteo Gillis in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lóránd Halász saved Sztyepana-kert from getting behind. In the 93rd minute Olimpiu Dragnea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lóránd Halász saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
