Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Shi Li started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes had been played when some careless play by Champions Iasi's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dan Petrescu was slow to take the kick. During this time Galati Harbour Cats's players had a chance to rest. Frank Lauria came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Galati Harbour Cats's Shi Li. But to his dismay, Shi Li quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 12th minute, Vasile Mumuleanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Shi Li kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Frank Lauria. That made the score 2-0 in the 14 minute of play. In the 17th minute Corneliu Lupescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Soare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octavian Soare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iustin Coporan, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Galati Harbour Cats's goal looked a bit too open when Iustin Coporan came free, but Octavian Soare reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Champions Iasi's Alo Ülend got a free kick in the 20th minute. Frank Lauria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ianis Man, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute Róbert Pál-Szabó shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Soare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Galati Harbour Cats's Claudiu Manolescu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cosmin Iureș in the 30 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shi Li in the 41st minute of play forced Champions Iasi's goalkeeper Frank Lauria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Champions Iasi booed when Galati Harbour Cats was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shi Li didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ianis Man received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Frank Lauria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Róbert Pál-Szabó made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Champions Iasi's goal looked a bit too open when Shi Li came free, but Frank Lauria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Róbert Pál-Szabó who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Octavian Soare when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Frank Lauria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shi Li in the 56th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shi Li in the 60th minute of play forced Champions Iasi's goalkeeper Frank Lauria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Valeriu Zdrobiş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Galati Harbour Cats's Shi Li in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Champions Iasi's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zachariasz Charamut in the 72nd minute of play forced Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper Octavian Soare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Champions Iasi's Frank Lauria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shi Li in the 76th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Champions Iasi's goal looked a bit too open when Shi Li came free, but Frank Lauria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Octavian Soare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbert Pál-Szabó, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Octavian Soare showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corneliu Lupescu in the 88th minute of the match. Octavian Soare made an important save on a dangerous shot by Corneliu Lupescu in the 89th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Galati Harbour Cats's Shi Li sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frank Lauria narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Galati Harbour Cats fans cheered their team off the field, for while Champions Iasi had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
