Sorin Slătineanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cai Wei Xi in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sorin Slătineanu saved Margonin SA from getting behind. Sorin Slătineanu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cai Wei Xi's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Cai Wei Xi might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sorin Slătineanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cai Wei Xi ran back to his position shaking his head. Sorin Slătineanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cai Wei Xi in the 18th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Margonin SA's goal looked a bit too open when Cai Wei Xi came free, but Sorin Slătineanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44thth minute of the game Cai Wei Xi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Margonin SA's Sorin Slătineanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Margonin SA players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tala Bosques del Jaure were winning 1-3.

The Margonin SA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sorin Slătineanu should have stopped the shot. 79 minutes into the match, Tala Bosques del Jaure's Edinson Rodríguez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sorin Slătineanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
